These guidelines ensure a smooth, respectful, and supportive experience for everyone in our care.

Clinic Rules & Expectations
Medication Management

General Medication Prescribing
-
Follow-ups are required for medication refills or adjustments.​

Refills must be requested at least 72 business hours in advance.
-
Lost, stolen, or 'ran out early' prescriptions will not be replaced.
-
Medication changes require an appointment and cannot be made over the phone.

Stimulants & Controlled Substances:
-
A current urine drug screen must be completed and returned before any controlled substance will be prescribed.​
-
Patient must be seen every 30 days for controlled medications.
-
No early refills are allowed.
-
Drug screens may be random or scheduled. Refusal or tampering will result in immediate termination.
-
Prescriptions may be discontinued at any time if there are concerns about safety, misuse, or diversion.

Attendance, Late Cancellations, & No-Shows​
-
48-hour notice is required for all appointment cancellations.​
-
Cancellations or reschedules made less than 48 hours before your appointment will result in a $75 fee.
-
No-shows (missed appointments without cancellation) also incur a $75 charge.
-
Two no-shows will result in termination from the clinic.
-
Patient arriving more than 10 minutes late may be rescheduled and charged the no-show fee.

Behavioral Expectations

Yelling, threatening, or aggressive
-
Manipulation or coercion for medication
-
Disrespectful or discriminatory language or behavior
-
Disruption of care or violation of physical/emotional safety of staff or patients.
​
Violations may result in immediate dismissal and reporting to authorities if warranted.

​Animals at the Clinic
-
Only ADA-recognized service animals are permitted.
-
Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are not allowed in the treatment areas.

Service animals must be the following:
-
Well-behaved and under control​
-
Not disruptive to staff, other patients, or the flow of care.

When to Call, Make an Appointment, or Go to the ER
​

Go to the Emergency Room (ER) or Call 911 IF:
-
You are having thoughts of harming yourself or others​
-
You are experiencing hallucinations, delusions, or are disconnected from reality
-
You have a severe reaction to medication (e.g., difficulty breathing, swelling, rash, chest pain)
-
You feel physically unsafe or out of control.​

Schedule an Appointment If:
-
You need a medication refill or a change​
-
You're experiencing worsening mental health symptoms
-
You're due for your monthly follow-up or drug screen
-
You want to discuss a new diagnosis, test, or therapeutic support
-
You are considering starting, stopping, or switching medications
-

Call the Clinic If:
-
You're unsure whether you need an appointment or an ER visit​
-
You have non-urgent questions about your medication or treatment plan
-
You need to reschedule your appointment
-
You are having side effects that are not life-threatening but concerning
-
You were recently discharged from the hospital or had a medical event
-

-
Clinic Discharge & Termination
-
Two or more no-shows
-
Violation of clinic behavioral expectations
-
Noncompliance with treatment plans or safety requirements
-
Refusal of required monitoring, including drug screens
-
Loss of trust or breakdown in the therapeutic relationship
-
If discharged, you will be given the following:​

A formal discharge letter​
-
A 30-day supply of non-controlled medications (as appropriate)

A list of alternative resources
-
